I am now taking orders for a new ultimate light weight lithium race battery. There's a few ways out there that you can do such as the milwaukie with the after market base that's around 4 lbs and 400-450$.There's also the dewalt base with the xrp battery that's around 5lbs and 200+$.The new lithium battery is UNDER 1 lb and is 299$.Chargers are 40.00, or most any charger will work. These will run all nos systems, msd ignitions and lots more.Heres a few facts on what it will do.
*14.4 volt *Built in bms system [battery management system] *Built in light that will tell what battery is doing at all times Here are the blink codes:
Short blip about once per second: Everything is normal
Very fast short blips: Large change in load
On mostly with short off. About once per second: Battery is balancing and is close to full charge
Rapid bright flashes: Battery is fully charged and is protecting itself from overcharge
Solid on: Battery has turned off due to low voltage
Short flash every once in awhile: Battery is dead. Recharge
Double bright flash every second. Battery is overtemp
Double flash every several seconds: battery is too cold.
*Max discharge current 50+ Amps [nos fuel pump pulls 4-5amps] *Max charge current 15A *Built in system battery diognostic light *2000+ recharges /after 2000 battery still at 85+% *If fully drained will recharge in less then 20 min
This is only scratching the surface of whats coming out there this is the 1000. The 2000 [under 2lbs]will start raptors,400ex and more,to give you an idea been testing the 2000 and have been starting a 06 toyota tacoma truck for 6+ months and recharges in 15 sec. the 3000 [2.6 lbs]will do alot more and 4000 [3.5 lbs]will start about any car.the 2000,3000,4000 are coming out soon.
