I miss my Turbo Civic.....was one of a kind, had F20B Euro Accord Motor in it...boosting 7lbs...buddy of mine just finished his, fully built b16, boosting like 16lbs or so....gets up and goes pretty good, hope he gets his squared away. Is it a D17 or B17??

There are multiple versions of the d17.. you need to find out the rest of the code.. If its a true D17, those were jap spec motors that some people brought over they are actually a v-tec motor.. Most of the D17s that Ive seen are the A1 series that would have come in the dx cars that are non v-tec.. but there are some of the "e" v-tec cars that were A2 and A6 codes.. It was a lean v-tec that promoted fuel economy.. All of these motors a sohc. Find out the rest of the motor code, and I can more than likely get him headed in the right direction..
Questions.
Is he running an OBD1 adapter in the car?
what ECU is he running. (some twin cam ecu's will work)
what insurmentation does he have. (turbo cars require motor monitoring)

"" w/aem fic piggy bac sys"
he needs to get the lap top out and start programing the fuel curve. its just not a plug and play, and needs to see what the fuel psi is and what the aem ecu wants to see.
OVERVIEW The F/IC gives users with everything from light modifications to aftermarket forced induction systems the ability to retard ignition and deliver accurate amounts of fuel without the need for outdated FMUs or “boost hiding” controllers. This system works parallel to the factory ECU preventing tuning limitations due to complex factory timing patterns. 21x17 maps with configurable load and RPM breakpoints are easily accessed with the F/IC's Windows-based tuning software. The F/IC includes a PC USB interface for quick and easy calibration changes. PRECISE FUEL DELIVERY The F/IC intercepts the signal to the stock injectors, allowing the user to modify pulse-width by +/-100%. The F/IC is the only piggy-back system that can decrease injector pulse-width, allowing the user to drive larger aftermarket injectors while still maintaining proper air / fuel ratios. This powerful system can also tap into the factory injector signal and work independently to drive up to six (6) additional injectors. TIMING RETARD CONTROL The F/IC has the ability to retard timing by intercepting and delaying the outputs from the cam and crank position sensors to the engine- with no adverse affect on applications equipped with variable cam timing. The F/IC can retard timing from the factory system based on engine RPM and load inputs. SENSOR CALIBRATION & CONTROL The F/IC can also be used to recalibrate / clamp the MAF sensor, eliminating common problems with non-boosted factory MAFs. The on-board MAP sensor allows for proper fueling in boosted conditions. CAN-BUS SYSTEMS NOT AFFECTED Since the F/IC works in conjunction with the factory ECU, late model-vehicles equipped with a CAN-BUS system retain functionality of climate controls, dash and other components on the network.

its a d-17 a2 for sure...he dont have the obd1 adapter..he has a air fuel gauge and boost gauge the air gauge is showing rich..stock fuel pump so what ever stock psi is..
