I've never been that fast on the water and it was intense! Andy Lohr, previous owner of the bull, took me for a ride on his Talon. It has a single supercharged big block running very low boost on pump gas, there is another 300HP or so by switching pulleys and running race gas. On pump gas at 6K rpm on a 7K rpm motor, 3 of us were going 110mph. His fastest on pump gas is 118mph and I saw the GPS memory. We were on Lake Anna, a narrow lake, and there was lots of boat traffic but I was surprised how smooth it was over 2' wakes. We went airborne a few times but it landed flat, waaay too much fun.

For those that remember Andy, he bought Richard's (or D ick's?) black snomo triple. I hope he comes back to the track, he's hilarious.

Most people don't realize how intense, or how tough it is to make a boat get 110+ on water.

It is definitely a unique experience that we should all try. I have only been 115, but my dad and his dad built a pickle fork that had a best of 139mph.

Be careful... we crashed a boat doing 115mph down Colorado river. It was a DCB with twin 300+ outboard mercs. Last thing I saw was the gps at 116mph then we were all flying through the air.

Next thing I remember some people were dragging me out of the water. No we were not wearing life jackets. And yes the boat was a few weeks old and was just purchased for over 120k and it had no insurance... BAD DEAL... lol

A ski boat cut us off and it was not a good deal...

That's the style of his Talon, pickle fork boats. His is 25' I think, maybe 23'.

I can still hear that big block howling. It was too windy to even shout in someone's ear but that motor was loud as hell. Great fun!
