Ok, i have a set of 20x10x10 american racer sd23 compound tires that i plan on runnin on my bike. Then bike is a 350 on akly on a drag frame...
We have an issue where the Hoosier tires are actually faster on the smaller motors then the american racers.... is anyone else gettin the same results????????

Are the Hoosiers the same width? 10" sounds to wide for a 350. + Hoosiers go by RO and AR go by Diamiter. Are you compairing Apples to Apples? A lot of times the small engine bikes don't take a lot of tire to get the job done in the 1/8th mile.... The Larger tire will Mile an hr on the big end better than a smaller RO tire will but it will also take a larger engine to do so. I may be off track sorry if I am....

you right, i mean thats how i was brought up... but the 61 hoosier is like a 20 ar.....
We are loosing et and mph with the ar tires..... only thing is weight difference.. but i dont see how we 60' the same and loosse sooooooo much on the big end.... i had a few guys locally that told me if they could have found a 16" hoosier they would have ran it... just weird how that all works out....

Some Tires may grow more on the big end (after the 330')the AR's may grow more than the Hoosiers do idk or it could be just the reverse. I personally own both AR's and Hoosiers Tire size for Tire size and Compound for Compound I get pretty much the same results from both. Just a thought, sometimes a tire can accumulate to much track rubber and hurt the performance of the Tire due to lack of traction, as Track rubber will give a Tire slip or lack of traction...

Think I'm going to sell these ar tires and get me some Hoosiers. I know the Hoosiers work here very good. Yea, I think that's going to be my best option.

we tried 18/8/10 ars and they had the same result... sold wheels already and order hoosiers too.... Ronnie's had the best price as far as i seen... under 200 for tires... 61/10/10
i have to run the taller wheel cause i didnt know about offsetting the height of the a-arms when i build my frame... my arms are straight and i have 16" front wheels,,, may sell mine and buy smaller wheels for the front and run smaller wheels in the back later....
hopefully in about a month or two we will be running again...weather sucks here so no paint on my baby today...
