Rick, no disrepect meant here, but we run a 19-39 with the 4mil for the 1/8th, and it's completely done at the 1/8th mile. IMO you need a 1-4 shifting 5th and 6th, or a 1-6 to run a good 1/4 mile time and speed. Sorry, I thought I remember hopper tellin me thats what he runs on asphault. I thought he ran quarter mile but he must run the 1/8th mile.

so, 115mph with 19/38 with a 6 speed.... you red lining in 6th at the line? 20 inch tire...my rear wheel is like 24"tall
I think I can get a 19/34 setup with the 24 in wheel.. guess ill try that adnd see where I end up at.
I have a bad feeling about this... does anyone make a less than 2.36 primary?
Not running yet, still working on the chassis...

exactly...thats what I came up with for my calculation...about 160mph.... with 2.36 gears though... Ill try it out and see how it works.... based on a guess, im sure it will trap at 150 plus MPH... probably much higher... if it stays together for a run LOL

Not running yet, still working on the chassis... No still pulling at the Traps. I wasn't planning on running the 1/4 mile it just worked out that way. I went to run the 1/8th on a 1/4 mile Track. They were giving Times for the 1/4 mile so I went for it.
