Here is the race schedule and info

Friday,
Test & tune $20 10am-7pm

Saturday
8am-10am Test & tune (2 passes per class entered)
10:15 Drivers meeting
10:30 Sport 1&2 bracket $35 trophy class
12:30 UTV bracket-$35 trophy class
1:30 to finish Pro index $50 70% payback 70/30 split
Index classes will vary depending on times ran. Last years indexes were:
3.95-4.20
4.21-4.45
4.46-4.60
4.61-4.90
4.91 & slower

Sunday
8am-10am Test & tune (2 passes per class entered)
10:15 Drivers meeting
10:30 Sport 1&2 bracket $35 trophy class
12:30 kids bracket $25 trophy class
2:30 Pro 1&2 bracket $50 70% payback 70/30 split
4:30 UTV bracket-$35 trophy class

There will be a $5 per day pit pass. $10 rv/trailer/overnight parking. There is no fee for daily parking just camping and pit pass.

I'm new to the sand drag thing. I understand a set index time like we use on asphalt; 8.90 1/4 mile.

I don't understand & I'll use your last years index of 3.95-4.20 as an example. I'm sure this is easily explained. Could you provide explanation either here or can I have a contact number?

last year i printed a list of all of the fastest passes that each person made. based on those numbers i built an index that would be as fair as possible. in say the 3.95-4.20 class there may not have been any bike that ran 3.95 based off of t&t in that group the numbers might have been say 4.15, 4.10,4.20 4.18 ect. but i had to cap it at the top at 4.20 because the next fastest number was say 4.40. and i had run bring the index down to 3.95 to cap the next lower class. running indexes are kind of tricky because you want things to be close for heads up but yet fair for everyone. i grouped them to where we didn't have one bike in a class and it was fair. the fast bike that was there Arlo just made a bunch of passes because it woulnd't have ben right to run the index down to his time. i have have been to many races where my triple is out of index and i have to chop it and run up a class i dont like to do that but sometimes thats the best chance at a win. we also run a bracket race that fits everyones time. thoses were the indexes last years and may not be the same this year. i hope this helps out with how the claases were made.

I have a better understanding now and asked questions elsewhere. We will be there Fri & Sat. We plan to run bracket & index if both are offered on Sat.
