Who did his engine work? I am in the same boat...dont want to spend any more money on the bike since I am trying to sell it. I am content with it how it is because I run bracket, and I am not trying to be the fastest polaris. Keep me updated on the progress and let me know how his setup works.

4.61 on 300ft. I think with Morris doing a little more tuning to her she will run maybe some 4.4 this comming year???? Was just getting started and the season was over. It felt good to hold the ATVDRA record among other track records. With a special thanks to Chris and Gayla. I couldnt of done it without you guys. Kathy

No that was a 6.1 in 300 ft. This year we should be in the low 4's possibly it's a new idea for us. Not many over in the west.

right now we are going to try and make it if everything goes alright. come on kathy, ya'll can sit with us I don't know if we are going to race or not but, if we bring any bikes you can ride 1 of ours, it will be slower than what you are used to but you can still try it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I should make it, but dont know yet. I have had some potential buyers but none have gone through yet. Been waiting to see what they do before I do anymore, but I have some good ideas to get it in the 4.6-4.8 range with not much work. We will have to see. Even if we dont race we will be out there.

Dont know just yet if we will be comming or not. Thanks for offering me one of the bikes. I wouldnt say they are that slow. I was hoping everything would be together by April but doesnt look like it will be. Sure wish this race would of been in June. There would of been a bigger turn out then. No one up this way has had any time because it's been cold here. We dont even get to do any tuning until May. Prodrag hope to see you there and hope you get to sell your bike. Kathy

I think these guys on here claiming times in the 4's are on something.. That or these are there 60 ft times. My last race in prim was on my alky 295R built by K&T and was only pulling 5.0's with a rigid frame. Here's a pick of a bike by Packard that runs a alky 480R pilot cyclinder and it runs low 4's. So when these guys claim low 4's I think they're full of it. just my .02

Yes sir I am on something, SPEED!!! You can go to my web site and call any of the tracks that I have raced at and they will verify the times I have run on my POLARIS. I also hold many track records with this old farm tractor...LOL There are other people on this site that can verify that it does run what I say it does. I went to the Fall Nationals in Monticello Ms. last year and there were plenty there that seen it run 4.8. The fastest time it run last year was at the Blue Grass Nationals. That was a 4.61 in 300ft and that was with a fresh motor with only five passes on it cant wait to see what it will run with a little more tunning. I know it is easy to type in faster than you actually run, but I dont lie. I also have time slips and other racers that know this. Still dont beleive me??? Maybe some day you will see this old farm tractor get to run, seeing is beleiving. Oh by the way my Polaris has a little bit of Dennis Packard in it also the carb. was modified by him. I am not the only racer that has went under 5.0 either. There are several of them.

Yeah, you are wrong. My bike went 4.83 at its best and 4.90 the first weekend out. All motor, and it weighs a ton. I know it has some more in it, but I have only ran the bike once since I rebuilt it. Maybe you should check your bike and see how to get more out of it, because I used to see a 250r built by packard run some 4.2s in ms.

I have a polaris 400 sport built by AZ BAD BOYZ in AZ that is stroked 7mm and has many other modifications such as a kx500 reed box and yamaha piston. That runs consistant 4.4s at atv dirt drags in fairplains wv. If you have trouble believing this you can call the track owner at 304-532-2271

Dont Know, Havent seen it this year. I still hold all the track records for 2005. Too cold to race up here now. A lot of people say they run fast times, but when they come to race I am faster than they are. Tracks are different, but I usually run very close to what I say I run at all tracks. Between me and my bike I am about 100 to 150 lbs heaverier than most that I race also.

This is my nephew's. It has an Aaen kit on gasoline without nitrous built by RC Motorsports in Brookville, IN. Run's 4.9's on 300' Dirt. Frame is all tube solid suspended with stock engine cradle. It's only been out a few times and needs some tuning on the clutch.

yes we raced you at little sandys and we were on pump gas and our fastest time was in the 4.7s before we did some more tuning. And now hold the record in the non nitrous class.

You may of run 4.7 but you have to back it up and you couldnt back it up in that class. So they said you couldnt take the record, because your back up time was way off, something like 5.0. I am only repeating what they told me before I left. You also said you were on race fuel not pump gas at the track. You dont have to take my word for this, you can ask them yourself. I am only saying what was told to me by the track owners at Little Sandy.

Well I think you have done well with your bike, but I have a feeling that those records will be broken rather easily this year. And I am sure you will be faster as well so don't take that personal. Word has it that there are bikes out there running 4.6 without nitrous...with timeslips to back them....

I am currently taking pics of the time slips where we beat you and where we beat the person in the finals. So you can see we ran well below 5.0s and ran low 4.8s in the finals. And also the pic of the 4.7 so you can see it was all done in the same day. And pump gas is race fuel it is a way of sayin im not on alky.

Podrag, Guess I havent done to bad for a 180lb woman on a Polaris 400L sportsman utility bike I use to deer hunt on. Records are made to be broken. I plan on braking a few myself next year. Glad to hear there are more fast polaris's out there to race with. I also have heard of these fast times before, either they didnt show or couldnt back it up. You can type in fast times on the computer but that doesnt make your bike run those times. Thats just like racingO5 said he has time slips with 4.4. He may have, but when he came to Little Sandy and runs he was only running 5's, and with some tunning he got down to 4.8 once, that is what I seen. I am not saying he is lieing I'm just saying he didnt run those times at that time. As far as my nitrous goes I run 4.6 on motor not nitrous now. Also I have a few surprises my self for next year. Morris has been working on a 400 motor that will surprise a few also. He also has a Polaris 350L he has been working on that will put a few of the 400's on the trailer. This one will have a light rider and lightened frame. No hard feelings intended. Everyone has good days and bad. I have had 6 years of holding records and if I dont run real good next year it wont break me. I have learned a lot over the past years, from alot of the ones that I race.

Kathy im not trying to argue im just sayin that i now hold the track record in the non nitrous class and it is a 4.796 backed up by a 4.833 and i have the time slips i am taking pics of to prove it. And the slowest time i ran in that class was a 4.995 against your losing 5.084. And also kathy you hold the national record of a 4.61 and at kentucky the day we were there you did not run any faster than a 4.7 and that was on the bottle as for with the motor your fastest time was in the 4.9s now if you do the math that is 3 tenths of a second off of 4.6 we say we run 4.4s and we run 4.7s at kentucky that is also 3 tenths of a second off this proves that kentucky is 3 tenths of a second slower for both of us.The night that we broke the record before we left the track owner told us to write an article about our bike so he could have it. Thats all i have to say about that. The pics will be listed soon. The truth is your a tremendous competitor and have a beatiful bike and look foward to racing you again next year. Hopefuly you can come compete at our local track because there are a lot of polaris's there that would love to see you run. call for directions at 1-304-532-2271. Hope to become friends.

Well all in all I am just glad there will be more competitors next year. I think it is an accomplishment just to get those tanks to run faster than a 5.0. I hope most of the bikes next year are running mid 4s. Next year planet sand will be the place to run them and see who is the fastest(not that it really matters)...as far as I see it, that is neutral grounds. Most people run great times at their own track, but when they go to someone else's track they run slower. There are a lot of variables that factor into this. I did only see your bike go a 4.95 fastest in Monticello, but as I said it wasn't your track(mine either). If the bike lost a few pounds I am sure it would go a bit faster as well. Good luck to all next year.

I was just wondering how you put the triple exhaust port in yourself?. I also have the az 7 mill and it runs really strong. I think you will be extremely happy with it.

well that would be hard to explain trying to type all the steps i copyed some of the powermax cylinder you start off holesaw the outside of the cylinder to get to the inside of the casting then set in bridge port mill 7/8 hole thru the exaust port use 7/8 alu tubing bend approx 20-30 degres weld tubing to inside cylinder then do the inside exaust port then you have to make a plate to cover the out side so you dont leak any water when i sent it to .az. denis tought i did a good job!! i ran the cylinder on the stock stroke engine did not have any problems with leaking water did not have a chance to test to see if there were any improvement thats all i can say typeing!!

Sounds great, can't wait to see it run.
I also will be running a 442 stroker and a 495 stroker. The 495 stroker we have been working on for awhile, it ran a 3.4 on motor in 200ft. Can't wait to get it on a 300ft track and tune it in. Then maybe add the bottle. Both motors will be on lighter frames. Hopefully next year we will be able to get better traction, it was a major problem this year. Can't wait to see all these Polaris atv's come out to play. Good luck to everyone!

I think there will be a little 388cc polaris stirring up a little dust in those parts...., but we will just have to see.

Oh and I have seen a really neat powermaxx drag setup that will come out of the woodworks some time next year. Could definitely be a quick one, defenitely setup really nice.

Everyone on here keeps talking about these fast Polaris's and the time slips but no one seems to post them. Come on I know a win is a win, but you know that banshee wasnt running right you can hear it. Please you all know it cant beat that banshee if tuned right and on a 300ft track.

I understand where you are coming from. A good running cub shee will beat a polaris, but at the same time I dont think these times are far off. I can see one easily running a 4.4 on a lightened frame. You must realize these engines are just starting to come around. Many people dont feel that they are worth the time, but there are others that just like the challenge and at the same time you cant ask for a better bracket bike. It wasnt but a few years back when the big banshee engines were running 4.1s, but look at where they are at now.

No, It was black and was a full frame and supension with a 8-over swingarm. It still had the stock transmission, It did have a drag pipe and was on methanol.

Did the person buy it from a guy in brookhaven mississippi? There was a big fella that had packard do him a stroker, w/black drag pipe, and a 50mm lectron alky carb. It was pretty quick, but not for what it had in it. Nice bike though.

No, it had a 44mm Lectron and I know with out a doubt it was stock stroke, I took the motor out of it after the crank broke, and checked the stroke myself.

Trephity...yeah I think we are talking about different bikes. The one I saw had a spacer plate on it. I know Packard did a stroker in 2001 or so for a guy in Brookhaven. Ran really good, just couldn't get it to hook. The bike turned around 9000 rpms. I am just anxious to see what everyone has to bring to the table next year.....

we are biulding one for our rotax powered polaris sport , and next summer should have a rigid drag frame for our 416
our camera is messed up but as soon as i can fix it ill post some pics.
glad too see people have some respect for these heavy machines .
i also think that if polaris would have come out with there 400 motor with a manual transmission they would have come way better . but if you know how to clutch them they can go just as fast. i like a manual myself but when i rode my dads race moded 400 i sold my 395ex(300) and got me a race modded 400 . we also have a polaris with a port job that i did ,with some reeds, stock carb, wiseco piston, and a ftr pipe, and a violet springs, this is a awsome setup for the woods or track .

we have a 400 scrambler that billy girlfriend races. stock motor, plus 5 swinger, lightened stock frame,on nos. with a 15 shot it will run 5.2"s all day, she did run some 4.9's with 20 shot. no it will not run with our big banshee motors, but ive seen her beat two many stock banshees, with pipes, etc(basic first banshee mod). we didnt run it at planet sand last year, but will have it this year with some additional mods. predict-- under 4.5's consistent...

we have a drag frame polaris it runs 4.9s but the swing-arm was to long so we went back to a stock swing-arm it should go 4.7s all motor (no nos or stroke)

Know of one at www.bigriversanddrag.com runs 4.6s all night long. Has 416 powermax on alcohol. Owner at the time was Archie Camden and the jockey was his daughter Erica. Modified stock frame with stock tranny. She won the points in unlimited 2 years ago. Since they have quit racing. Sold bikes to Jason Waller. Dont kknow what they run anymore. They still race at bigriver. The color of the bike was orange and blue and the other is all black. Look at the pictures on the web site
