Tidycat have you got some radar speeds on the hill to see if that purty bike will beat the banshee based motors? The potential should be good. But the triples are heavy. In PR they are running a twin 670cc motor, that has gone 5.20s if I recall correctly. That is race ported rotax that we are very familiar with It is on alky and runs NO2. Here in the states somewhere , there is a polaris 800, on gas, stk bore and stroke that is still running stk carbs that has run 5.50s. And that is faster than that 670 goes w/out no2. The polaris is not at potential yet. We are hopeful that we will get it into the high 4s this year On the aspalt 1/8th mile the banshee based motors are behind.

well until someone builds a tranny (weak link) that will stand the pressure for them... then we may be chasing them again....

the bike has been a turd since it was finished, it had no power and always idled ok but hesitated and acted really lean no matter how I jetted it. I tried everything , several sets of carbs, huge jets different needle jets, fuel pumps but always the hesitation and no power. I was told it had a safety switch on the side of the carbs that was supposed to keep the bike from starting if the throttle was stuck open. I disconnected it when installing the motor in the frame and later found out it was a throttle position sensor for the electronic ignition and it advances the timing anyway my timing was way retarded. now I have a new cdi box that allows me to eliminate all the TPS crap and go back to my big hot rod carbs . it now has digital advance so it should rip. we will see memorial. it ran in the low 4's in the 100 yard flat drags at glamis this year behind the glamis store with no advance and a horrible hesitation. should run pretty hard now.

i might have alot of envy's, but polaris envy is definately not one of them!!
polaris followers are like mopar followers, they dont run for crap but they all love them!!!lol

bottom line is any motor can run, even a polaris but they just are not a highly desired motor around here. better off running a ski-doo or an artic cat, just my opinion.
