what is the fastest lt500 in the 1/8 or 300ft?????????

fastest i have ever seen in asphalt was a 7.8et and that was like 10 years ago

I had one that went 4.75 & consistant 4.80's on dirt 300ft. in 1999... It was a stock frame bike..

no i have a buddy that says he going to run in the 6's, with spray, he ran 8.14 with no wheelie bar and no spray, he's stretched plus 6 with a cut tranny but i cant see 6's when he sprays it

When I ran those times nobody was cutting tranny's for them..

best i could see that bike running is a 7.5 and thats pushing it, i dont think that motor is going to handle the spray too good BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it will either.. He better hope it's got a goog bottom end in it... they are notorious for beating the crank bearings out of the cases...

Great time man!!! is it a stroker? I think mine woulda done better IF I had built a lightweight drag chassis.. Not to mention I weigh 205lbs..

No stroker, It was a 540 Long Rod Motor. Would have never even accomplished that much if it wasn't for all the help of DR Q!

I'll let him tell you himself how quick it went in the 1/8th mile.
He has an LT500 dune bike on gas w/a DRQ spec motor/in-frame pipe and a undercut trans.
He ran 8.10s last year w/an FMF pipe.

87 lt dune bike cool head 40FTZ alky carb garage port job by Bubba297 LRD pipe stock chassis no swinger pavemant with 170# rider 5.0s 330ft 8.0s1/8th owners275# 5teens 330ft 8.30s 1.8th and this bike also gets trail rode with no problems.I run my YFZ on alky so we did the same on the Lt best thing we ever done.

Oh, forgot to mention.. Mine was on gas..

i went 7.70 with my clutches sliping, and the jetting way fat in the 1/8 hoping to go low 7s with the proper tune and good clutches. and no its not a stroker.

no it hasnt broke the muffler bearing yet it was something that i picked up to mess with it was in a box when i got it so i dont think its doing to bad. i mostly ride trails (not with the zilla) so its not like i lost any sleep over it.
