I am of the opinion that the pipe matters little. Hell peashooter outis close to a slip on. Get the one you like, the one your dealer likes, or whatever floats your boat. Spend some time dialing it inand you are ok. I hav also pu ton the cams(both), and rthe DRZ basee gasket, which raises the compression a point, the cams drop compression a little, thanks to the duration, so I am still on pump, until the really hot months. I have a FCR carb as wel, and I feel like the bottom end was not sacrificed at all in my set up, But I did raise comrpession and have a bigger carb. If any of you guys run your Z in the sand and are not worried about losing an air box, let me know, Ihave a really nice intake set up, that dithces the box, and uses a 400ex size filter. Much better flow!
