The systems that do not have guard beams is capable of being tripped, but the portatree system is used on blactop tracks and set 1 inch off the ground, so when the cars that pull the fron tires leave they jump the guard beams, and the time is started because the stage is untripped. or when the gueard beam is broken. _________________________ 4 cyl Limited Record Holder, Rider Charlie Smith, Builder Titan Racing & Deafman Chassis, 3.245 @ 97.1MPH, Backed up with 3.258

If it didn't, all the cars wouldn't break the beam until the car went through. All tracks need guard beams. All systems that use them are ok.
