Straigh through even!
Us west coast guys don't really get a whole lot of opportunities to race. We aren't quiet as blessed as the folks on the other side of the country. Now that to me is a very funny post.... Where oh where do i start.. 1)NSDA... A Very big list of race's that are TOP NOTCH...6-8 Races a year 2)ASDA... Still has his events going... 3)Dome Valley.... Always a good track... 4)Fast Track Crew... Running scheduled events... 5)Avanl... A VERY hard hooking, well running events, with a good schedule.. 6)Atoka... still a good pull, but much closer to the west... I know im missing a few even... Im not sure where your chance of not racing much is, but i would have a field day with those tracks...

my vote is for SHELTONS DIRT DRAGS,its in the heart of kentucky...not to far east, north,or south.this track could easily hold an event the size of the one in LA. We would be interested in holding a planet sand event. We set our track up to meet and exceed all planet sand track requirements we have 40ft wide lanes,1000ft shut down. and plenty of parking and easy access just to name a few things. If you might be interested Charlie just send me a message and I will get intouch with you. THANKS, James Shelton SHELTON'S DIRT DRAGS

Dont over look the track in Norfolk Nebrasha Charlie it will even blow your mind it can accomadate thousands of people campers ect and the nicest track alot of us and you all will ever see bar any .And it is dead square in the middle of the US I will second that greatly. It has jus as much or MORE parking than planetsand. It is definatly a awsome track for sure. It looks like it is a little shorter drive for you than it is lousiana. And for the California folks it looks like it is around 23hrs for them. It is a reasonable drive for everyone. From Virginia about the same 20hrs or so. It would be very stupid on your part to not even consider it. JMO

No, but the pics I have seen of the parking at PlanetSand, doesen't look as big as what we have here at our local track (Offroad Ranch). I will see forsure how many acres of parking there is. I wanna say at least 40 to 60 Acres.

Norfolk or WMSD is certainly not on the East coast.
If your planning to have an East Coast event, Virginia should be strongly considered. Did we say it was on the East Coast??

And the idea of having one in the MidWest Area, is so the people from NC, NY, VA and states like that wont have a 30+ hour drive if its on the west coast. If you hold one in the east coast, the west coast will be mad, and if you hold one on the west coast then the eastcoast will be mad. If you have it in the middle of the US, then east and west coasters will drive about the same distance.

Nebraska Is 22 hours away from where I am in North Carolina, Gilbert LA, is only 14 hrs. How is this closer for us on the East Coast? To start with, I also think we NEED a race on the East Coast....but with only a 14 hour drive, IMO, you really don't have a lot of room to bitch about the drive to La.....lol I never "bitched" about the 14 hours to La, I simply said that 22 hours was not closer than Gilbert,, I'm 14 from Gilbert, but the further you go up the East Coast like, NY, PA, and VA, the drive for them grows, So if PS is trying to spread out the Big Races, so everyone will have the opportunity to attend a Full week of racing, IMO I don't feel as if a Nebraska, Being a Midwestern state, would be fair to the East coast.

We have a new drag strip. 1100+ ft of shut down. It will seat 200+ people on the bleachers and over 100 acres of parking. 40 sites for electic, onsite store plus more. Also bath/shower house for those that camp on the grounds. You can see pic's . www.leerjak.com Missouri is in the middle of the states.
