How do you come up with the weight limits?
I looked at the weights at the AVI race and there were 50-60-70 pound differences between bikes (not including riders) that were in the same classes. For example K&T has a tripple that weighs 365 lbs
and De La Hoya and Kosier both have bikes that weigh 433 lbs in the same class. K&Ts jockey weighs 153 pounds which is light but not the lighest compared to some of the jockeys. So do you penalize K&T for figuring out how to make there bike light? Do you penalize K&T for using titanium? Do you penalize people for using great jockeys that know how to ride? Packards single weighed 20 lbs lighter than my single so do we need to penalize him for that?
Do you set the bar high so 200+ lbs people can compete?
If you dont set the bar high then you will have changed nothing.

I go to the planetsand "FASTEST ON THE PLANET" race to see the fastest on the planet and to see records being broke not to see people having to add 100 lbs to a bike to go slower.

That pretty well sums it up.

We all make sacrifices here, and if you want to get down to my weight 155ish, just eat healtier! I am 5'10 which also happens to be the national average height for males 20-40. The average national weight for a 5'10 male is also 190lbs, making the national average male nearly 20lbs overweight. So I guess my own completely assholish advice is if you do want to race...make a change in your eating habits. Racing could just save your life bigboybanshee [/quote]

Well said because im 5'9 170lb 29years old. Im the wait im soupposed to be. So its not fair right. What dew i do go gain weight to make the race more even. No I.M.O you need to loose weight or find a jockey. Its not are fault that most americans are over weight. I've been beat by a lighter bike and rider. that makes me just want to better my bike for the next race.
I know weight makes a big DIFF but you cant penalize some one for being there right LB or being 16 years old. imo!

Charlie - Are you using Calvin's proposed PSDRA classes to start the 2010 PS race discussions?

Or do we have multiple discussions about "PS approved" classes going on independently?

some of us like the little motors and lite riders to beat up on the big motors, just aint figured out what can beat that 1699cc up. if we have to put weights on our bikes we might as well start a class to start pulling a weight sled like tractor pulls.im always looking to get rid of weight now certain people is wanting to add it. 2 words for you people JENNY CRAIG!!!!!!!
